Description

Very rare early 1900's grace Drayton childs nursery rhyme handkerchief. Grace Drayton later became know in the 1920's or her Dolly Dingles illustrations and then the Campbell Soup kids. You can see some of the similarity here on her earlier work. This darling hankie was part of a book called the Wee Kiddies Handkerchief Book, and is in pristine unused condition. These are very hard to find in this condition. Look at the darling illustrations on this hankie with the nursery rhyme Ride a Cock Horse, To Banbury Cross, To See a Fine Lady, Get on a White Horse. Along with the kids that resemble the Campbell soup kids there is a cute little dog. Hankies main colors are red, blue and green, with agreen border. Measures about 9 square. There is a little paper residue from original label. This is like owning a small piece of art history! Here is a picture of the book. You are purchasing one hankie only, book not included.
