Just a beautiful vintage handkerchief in excellent vintage condition. This lovely ladies round hankie has a huge aqua / teal shaded orchid in the center tied with frilly yellow bows and ribbons. The orchid is nestled among pink forget me not flowers and little white lily of the valley with aqua blue shading. The hankie’s scalloped edge is trimmed with a faux ruffled design. Really cute and lots of nice detailing. Handkerchief measures about 13" across, striking to frame!

According to the book Collecting Handkerchiefs,"perhaps the most unusual type of handkerchief is the round. Produced briefly in the 1940’s and into the 1950’s, the shape wasn’t very popular at the time. It is however, popular with present-day collectors who love to find these uniquely shaped hankies."
