This is a great vintage round ladies handkerchief! According to the book Collecting Handkerchiefs,"perhaps the most unusual type of handkerchief is the round. Produced briefly in the 1940’s and into the 1950’s, the shape wasn’t very popular at the time. It is however, popular with present-day collectors who love to find these uniquely shaped hankies." This large round hankie has a faux lace design that is about 3" deep. Two larger pink / red poppies grace one side as well as two single flowers. The faux lace is a gray color. Quite pretty and very unique. Hankie measures about 16" across. This one would make a darling doily as well, or beautiful framed. Excellent vintage condition with no damage.
