This lovely hankie has an allover violet / violets design in many shades of lavender and purple. The scalloped edge is trimmed with purple thread. Violets in Victorian times stood for faithfulness, so what a sweet gift for a faithful friend. Hankie measures about 12.5" across and is in excellent condition. Appears that it possibly has not been used.  Lovely gift for any hankies collector. According to the book Collecting Handkerchiefs,"perhaps the most unusual type of handkerchief is the round. Produced briefly in the 1940’s and into the 1950’s, the shape wasn’t very popular at the time. It is however, popular with present-day collectors who love to find these uniquely shaped hankies."
