According to the book Collecting Handkerchiefs,"perhaps the most unusual type of handkerchief is the round. Produced briefly in the 1940’s and into the 1950’s, the shape wasn’t very popular at the time. It is however, popular with present-day collectors who love to find these uniquely shaped hankies."
This darling valentine’s day hankie is a unique & special shape. It’s not perfectly round as the hankie takes on the shape of the points of each red heart. Pretty Valentine hearts have lace edges and between the hearts are small pink rose bouquets. The bouquets are tied with blue ribbons and bows. Beautiful to display any time of the year. A special hankie for a February bride! Hankie measures about 14" across & is in gently used vintage condition. Clean & colors are bright a few loose threads on the hem. This hanky is depicted on page 31 of the book Collecting Handkerchiefs.
