Guipure lace, instead of being woven on a net background like Chantilly or alencon lace, have threads connecting the motifs with an open work feeling. This pretty bridal hankie has lace trim and corners with a delicate guipure openwork lace design. The lace is German made, and the cotton hankie was made in Switzerland. The Swiss are known for their beautiful ladies handkerchiefs.
