What is a Tussie Mussie?
A tussie mussie ( or sometimes called a tussy mussy) is a small bouquet, nosegay, or posy. They were made very popular in the Victorian times when made with messages, as "talking bouquets" . The Victorians devised a language for flowers and messages were created by combining plants with appropriate meanings. See our The Victorian Language of Flowers page for examples of flower meanings.
Tussie mussie holders became popular and are now often used for wedding ceremonies. You can use them for other occasions as well or as an addition to your Victorian decor.
