Aprons hold a special place of nostalgia for many of us.... Memories of yesteryear when Mom or Grandma wore her favorite apron while cooking and baking.
Perhaps you can still smell the scents of those yummy cakes, cookies and breads. Often mom would have the more practical bib apron for actual cooking, then just before the guests would arrive she would don the pretty cocktail, or hostess apron. Perhaps you had matching mother and daughter aprons, or like me had one that matched your little sister’s apron. I still have my sweet child sized red calico apron my mom bought me in Williamsburg,over 50 years ago!
Besides holding precious memories aprons are very practical as we go about our daily tasks or cooking. They also make a beautiful and thoughtful gift for mom, grandma, best girlfriend, sister, daughtere, niece, or favorite cook!
